Marriage Is Not Affecting Us - 4x4
Hiplife trio 4X4 have denied rumours that marriage
is what is affecting the group's shine in recent
times.

Captain Planet and Coded are both married and this
some pundits believe is part of the reason why the
group is not as vibrant as they used to be.

The "World Trade Center" hit makers have however
denied that assertion including Fresh Prince who
is still single "I am not married yet but I don't
think the marriage of my group members have
affected us in any way. Their marriage has
motivated me to also get married soon", Fresh
Prince stated.

"Marriage has not affected us in any way. How can
marriage affect us? In fact marriage has rather
made us matured and more responsible. Marriage has
rather made us even stronger as a group", Captain
Planet leader of the group told Peacefmonline.com.

Captain Planet who believes the group is matured
now, in a separate interview, said on Hitz FM that
the group has moved from composing just any song
for their fans to writing mature songs. The rapper
said the brand 4×4 has grown and now appeals to a
certain class of people hence they have to release
songs which will meet the expectation of such
people.

He continued that they are very mindful of their
lyrics when composing songs because they think
about the negative effect it will have on their
brand.

“As you grow, there are certain things you
cannot say anymore so it keeps you in a different
position of composition. You can’t be composing
the same songs as you used to do at your youthful
stage. I can’t say some of the things I used to
say anymore because the more you grow, the more
people respect you and the more kids look up to
you. When you see the kids or some of the new acts
saying some things and people feel like they are
hot, I did that when I came into the game in 2003.
As you keep growing, your composition needs to
change. You are appealing to a different class of
people so you need to change. We do mature songs.
Listen to most of our recent songs and you will
know that most of them are matured” Captain
Planet.

Coded married Hospitality Executive, Maame Afua
Agyeiwaa Opare in 2012 and Captain Planet married
former Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana
Uche Ofodile in June 2014.

The group made up of Captain Planet (Sylvanus
Dodji Jeoffrey), Coded, formerly Abortion (Raphael
Edem Avornyo) and Fresh Prince (Prince Tamakloe),
have just released both the audio and visual for
their new single title "Atongo" which features
Prince Bright of Buk Bak.
