Appietus is a bad leader – Mark Okraku Mantey Mark Okraku Mantey, Programmes Coordinator of Hitz
FM has described Sound Engineer Appiah Dankwah
popularly known as Appietus as a bad leader.
He is, therefore, campaigning against voting for
Appietus should he decide to contest for any
position in the music industry in the future.
Appietus called musician Nana Quame
‘senseless’ because he called him a hypocrite
for accepting a position in the new Musicians
Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) administration.
The music producer has been appointed the
‘Talent Discovery and Development Director’ of
MUSIGA, an administration he had chastised for
being corrupt.
Commenting the matter, Mark said, “Appietus, you
are not a good leader, you have taken a position
in MUSIGA and you cannot even tolerate how your
members, you start insulting them for criticizing
you.”
“I am telling all of you that if Appietus stands
for any position in MUSIGA vote against him he
cannot lead you,” Mark said on Daybreak Hitz
(Showbiz Review) on Hitz FM with KMJ.
Mark believes that once an individual takes up a
public position, they should show enough maturity
in terms of accepting criticism.
“If you take positions that has to do with
people you should know that they will punch you,
some will hold you accountable and others will not
even believe in your ideals all you need to do to
accept them in good faith,” he told Appietus.
Responding to Mark’s statement, Appietus
expressed displeasure at the remarks saying that
“I am very disappointment in Okraku Mantey. He
had no right to say that about me”.
He continued that, this behaviour is what is
destroying our country, people say whatever they
want and expect you to take it lightly because you
are leader, which is not right.
