Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba with Great Ampong

Daddy Lumba Launches Gospel Album On Saturday
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian highlife music
artiste, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known in the showbiz
industry as Daddy Lumba, will launch his
much-awaited gospel album titled
‘Hosanna’ on Saturday, November 28 at
the Glorious Waves International Church in Accra.

The album launch is expected to attract a number
of personalities including the NPP flagbearer,
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is a special
guest for the occasion.

Some of the songs on the album which he
collaborated with Great Ampong include
‘Awurade Ka Meho’,
‘Father’s Son’, ‘Wotumi
Ye Kese’, among others.

Daddy Lumba announced his presence on the Ghanaian
music scene in the early 1980s, with an album
titled ‘Yeeye Aka Akwantuo Mu’ which
he collaborated with Nana Acheampong.

After the release of ‘Yeeye Aka Akwantuo
Mu’, Daddy Lumba has been consistent with
the release of multiple hit albums.

In 1999, he won three awards, including Best Album
of The Year and the Most Popular Song of The Year
at the Ghana Music Awards.

His solo career has not been short of controversy;
one moment he would release a gospel album and the
next he would shock people with his provocative
lyrics and music videos.

His music has evolved over the years to reflect
the changes in taste and demands for music; he can
currently be described as a contemporary highlife
artiste.

Lumba has won several Ghana music awards and other
excellence awards and continue to appeal to the
young and old.

In 2014, he released his ‘Awoso’
album that included the hit ‘Nea Woho Beto
Wo’ that won him worldwide praise.
