‘I Paid GH¢600 For Sex Videos’
Yaw Offei, the limping photographer captured on
tapes that leaked in February this year having
sexual intercourse with some women at Begoro, has
told DAILY GUIDE exclusively that he paid GH¢600
to his former apprentice in connection with the
nude videos.

He disclosed to this paper in an interview at
Begoro in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern
Region that videos of his sexual orgies were
recorded and made public by a former female
apprentice in his photography shop.

According to him, the said apprentice - whose name
he refused to mention - sent him a text message on
August 18, 2014 threatening to reveal his sexual
exploits to the public if he did not pay her off.

Offei claimed that unknowingly, the said
apprentice had been filming all his activities and
“she put some of the video recordings under my
door; and this really scared me.”

The limping photographer disclosed, “I quickly
sent her GH¢600. But I had to run away from
Begoro after the videos were seen in public
because of the stigma and embarrassment they had
caused me.”

He indicated that he had sex with the various
women in his photography studio because he is a
married man.

In a series of video clips watched by DAILY GUIDE
, Mr Offei was seen bonking women of various
statuses at Begoro, including those he claimed
were either married or engaged.

The voices of children chatting and cockerels
crowing could be heard in the background as the
videos were showing Mr Yaw Offei busily doing his
‘own thing,’ after which he was seen giving
the women some money.

He bonked all the women without the use of
condoms, thereby creating fear and panic in the
town, as the inhabitants said there could be a
spread of sexually transmitted diseases in the
area.

Currently, Offei is in police custody at Begoro
assisting in investigations following his arrest
in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The 53-year-old photographer was arrested by the
Manhyia Divisional Police Command in Kumasi on
Monday when some vigilant residents of the city
spotted him and alerted the police.

Three others were earlier picked up by the police
at Begoro in connection with the scandal and are
assisting in investigations.

News of his arrest made the people jubilate, with
some residents arguing that that would lead to the
closure of the chapter on the sex tape saga which
affected his family, church and Begoro as a
whole.

The wife in earlier reports expressed shock at the
conduct of her husband, whose shop she said was
close to her trading point.

Meanwhile, the traditional rulers of Begoro say
they will, in the coming days, summon Yaw Offei to
appear before the gods of Begoro to appease them
(gods).

The appeasement, Begoro chief, Daasebere Awua
Kotoko II, told DAILY GUIDE, would be a means of
cleansing the land he (Offei) had desecrated
through his immoral activities.
