Kwaw Kese speaks: "I've been through hell" Kwaw Kese has described his recent ordeal behind
bars as being through hell on social media
platform, Twitter.
Born Emmanuel Botchway, Kwaw Kese was arrested for
allegedly smoking a substance suspected to be
Indian hemp in public, at a drinking spot close to
the popular ‘+2 Pub’ in Nhyiaeso in Kumasi.
All his four attempts at securing bail were
refused and the case was adjourned to January 5,
2015.
However, Kwaw Kese was rushed to the hospital on
December 24 after complaining of severe stomach
ache. The second time the hiplife musician had
sought medical attention for stomach ache since
his arrest on November 22.
Eventually, Kwaw Kese was granted bail on health
grounds, after he took ill and was admitted to the
Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Talking about his experience locked up, the I'm
Free rapper tweeted "We been thru hell so Heaven
is a place for us to dwell !!! #Yakubu"
Since his release from police custody, the ever
vibrant persona of Kwaw Kese seems to have left
him, considering his stay in prison and a more
sober person is what we see today.
Kwaw Kese, among other things, even attended 31st
Watch Night Service, and has been very circumspect
with his posts on social media.
