The suicide note discovered by police Pastor commits suicide week after wife's death; leaves note A pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church Ghana
Life Cathedral committed suicide yesterday evening
and blamed it on a former roommate.
Pastor Kwabena Bonsu who was believed to be in his
late thirties hanged himself in his single room
apartment at Kasoa Chinese near Tuba Junction in
Accra.
He accused one Esther for his death.
The sad event comes exactly a week after his wife
died. The wife, who was a beautician (hair
dresser), is currently in the morgue.
They were survived by a six-month old baby.
A suicide note supposedly written by the deceased,
which police personnel stationed at Kasoa
Tollbooth found in his room, read: “I Love My
wife. Esther killed us. Why Esther? No Peace For
You.”
Myjoyonline.com gathered from some residents that
Esther used to live with the deceased couple in
the single room but had to leave the place over
financial disagreement.
An eyewitness Eric Akoto, who is a gospel musician
and radio presenter at PINK FM, told
myjoyonline.com that he was informed that the man
owed the accused GHC700 whilst the wife was also
indebted to the same lady to the tune of GHC300.
He said the man’s wife started complaining of
stomachache days after Esther left the apartment
but could not survive it.
Pastor Bonsu was also found dead around 6pm today
when someone he apparently bought something from
was returning his change. He used a sponge joined
to a rope to commit suicide in his porch.
