‘Rawlings must learn to respect himself’ – Obinim reacts
Controversial head Pastor of the International
God’s Way Church, Daniel Obinim has warned
former President Jerry Rawlings to “learn to
respect himself” if he does not want to be
disrespected by ordinary Ghanaians.

He said he will not be able to control himself
again if the former President continues to speak
ill of him.

Obinim’s comment follows recent remarks by the
former President that he (Obinim) and other
pastors deliberately deceive their followers with
juicy promises and miracles they know they cannot
deliver on.

The former military leader also wondered why
television stations in the country allot so much
time to such pastors.

But reacting to the comments Obinim said the NDC
founder was reckless in his remarks.

“…And he, former President JJ (Rawlings) too,
he wakes up and speaks anyhow he likes.

“He doesn’t respect me but he expects me to
respect him. How can he speak this way about me?
Some of the people around him urged me to keep
quiet and not respond to his attacks. I have the
video of what he said about me. He is a president,
he should learn to respect himself,” he fumed.
