"Ghanaians love people who talk nonsense" – Otabil
Founder of the International Central Gospel Church
(ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, has said Ghanaians
“like people who talk nonsense in a very nice
way”.

“We don’t go beyond the surface in almost all
the choices we make”, he told his congregation
on Sunday October 26, 2014.

Teaching about wisdom and the need to probe things
beyond the surface before taking decisions, the
motivational speaker said: “Sometimes you can
have a whole nation which makes decisions based on
surface [appearances], just the surface”.

“If you ask the average Ghanaian: ‘What is the
main difference between the main political parties
in Ghana? What’s the main difference beyond
slogans, symbols and candidates...and tribal
affiliations…what is the difference?’”

“So when you are voting, what do you vote
for?” he wondered, admonishing: “You can’t
just make decisions based on surface appearance
because if you do, it’s going to hit you, and no
matter how you pray, choices will have
consequences”.
