Kwame Asare Obeng, aka A-Plus

Talkative Ampaw lacks the verve to serve me defamation writ – A plus
Hiplife artiste, A-Plus, has said he doubts legal
practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has the valour to
serve him (A-Plus) a defamation writ he (Ampaw)
claims he filed over a social media criticism he
(A-Plus) passed about certain claims the Lawyer
made concerning the disappearance of fellow
hiplife artiste Castro.

Kwame Asare Obeng, as A-Plus is called, criticised
Ampaw for deceiving the public and discrediting
the work of the police regarding investigations
into the Castro case, with his claims that he had
vital information about the matter.

In his criticism, A-Plus also expressed qualms
about certain aspects of Ampaw’s claims about
the matter, which, in his opinion, sought to
suggest that Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan and
his brother, Baffour, had a hand in Castro’s
disappearance.

Theophilus Tagoe – Castro – has been missing
for more three months. He went missing along with
female companion Janet Bandu as they surfed the
waves of the Ada estuary while holidaying early
July.

Their bodies have still not been found nor have
they been found alive despite long searches by the
Marine unit of the Police Department.

Speaking to Nii Ayi Tagoe on the MORNING ZOO on
STARR 103.5FM about Ampaw’s lawsuit on Saturday,
A-Plus said: “I’m not sure I’ll receive
it…because you see, Lawyer Ampaw – I don’t
know what his problem is – he goes about telling
people he’s trying to find me and I’m hiding
and whatever – he said that to one of your
colleagues and it’s so amazing”.

“You (STARR FM) just called me this morning and
I’m live on STARR. If you are looking for me,
[I’m] just a phone call away. If you can’t
find me, then probably you can serve me in public.
Lawyer Ampaw likes talking too much. I just
don’t know why”, A-Plus added.

“He hasn’t served me and I get the feeling
that he won’t even serve me because his
colleague lawyers will tell him that he’s being
a very bad judge”, A-Plus said.

He told Nii Ayi Tagoe that: “Me, I want him to
serve me so I humiliate him, wondering: ‘Which
Judge in Ghana will sit down and say you have done
this and I said your information is what you are
said to have received from somebody and you say
I’m going to court.’”

“What makes me feel good as a person, what gives
me the bragging rights is the fact that I’m a
school dropout…but as a school dropout I won’t
ever go anywhere and tell people that I have filed
a writ in court and the person who is supposed to
enter appearance has not received summons but the
person has 8 days to appear; a lawyer…you see
common sense is very different…it’s learnt
from the house”.
