Akufo-Addo, Bawumia worship with Chief Imam at Central Mosque
The Flag-bearer of the main opposition New
Patriotic Party and his Running Mate joined the
national Chief Imam to worship at the Central
Mosque in Accra Friday.

Nana Akufo-Addo, who was recently re-elected
Flag-bearer ahead of the 2016 general elections,
and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, whom the twice-defeated
presidential candidate chose for the third time,
as his Running Mate, were in the company of the
leadership of the NPP when they worshipped with
Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu.

They were there to give thanks to Allah for the
“successful election of Nana Akufo-Addo as the
NPP's flag-bearer for the 2016 Election”.

Nana Akufo-Addo also used the opportunity to
introduce Dr Bawumia to the Chief Imam.

The duo have constantly expressed optimism of
winning the 2016 elections after losing in 2008
and 2012.
