Shatta Wale releases new single ‘Dem Broke’ in response to Charterhouse lawsuit Controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, on
Thursday October 9, 2014 released a new single in
response to Charterhouse’s Ghc10-million
defamation lawsuit against him.
The events production company has sued the
Ghanaian artiste for releasing videos on Facebook,
in which he allegedly cast aspersions against the
company and its CEO Iyiola Ayoade.
The suit was filed on October 2, 2014. It named
Iyiola Ayoade as a plaintiff. It was filed at the
Fast Track Division of the High Court in Accra in
relation to four separate videos.
In his riposte to the suit, Shatta Wale suggested
in his latest track that the events and
entertainment company is “broke” and needs a
way out, thus the suit against him.
Portions of the track said: “They are all
starving and need money…upon all their
extravagance, they are broke. Dem broke, dem
broke”.
The track, titled “Dem broke - Charterhouse and
Samini diss” is also believed to be a swipe at
Wale’s archrival dancehall artiste, Samini. Source - Starrfmonline
