Adigun Abolore aka 9ice 9ice: I’m leaving music for good Music star, Adigun Abolore, better known as 9ice
has publicly declared his intention of going into
politics. The news which came a few days ago has
been raising dust, but the singer has revealed
that he is leaving music for politics for a good
reason.
According to him, he feels he has achieved all he
wanted in music and needed to go in for other
challenges, which lie in politics.
The Ogbomosho, Oyo State star hopes to represent
his hometown constituency at the National Assembly
in 2015, when the next general election takes
place.
In recent times, the music career of 9ice, 34, has
been on the low side. He has struggled to regain
the top spot he used to control some years ago
when he released hit single, Gongo Aso.
The first major break for 9ice came when he
released his first single, Little Money. He later
released another hit single, Ganja Man in March
2006. His biggest hit ever has been Gongo Aso.
9ice won the Revelation of the Year award and the
Best Male Vocal Performer at the Hip Hop World
Awards held in Nigeria in 2008.
A month later at the first SoundCity Music Video
Awards, 9ice was nominated in the category of Best
New Artiste. He is the founder of Alapomeji
Records. Source - NFC
