Katy Perry, who has a passion for developing countries, including Ghana Katy Perry raises $175k to build wells in Ghana US singer Kate Perry has raised over $175,000 for
more than 50 non-profit organisations including
Generosity Water to provide potable water and
build wells in Ghana, Nigeria, Laos and India.
The multi-award winning singer did it, however,
with the help of her fans who bought her special
tickets during her California Dreams tour.
The firework singer said she was “thrilled to
help support the work these organisations are
doing to fight and prevent animal cruelty, provide
health care to homeless children and bring clean
drinking water to communities around the world.
”
Among the 50 non-profit organizations, the Human
Society of the United States and the Children’s
Health Fund and Generosity Water will be receiving
$40,000 each for their individual projects.
The money raised will help Children’s Health
Fund pay for more than 430 doctor visits to help
needy and at-risk children, who do not have access
to basic health care. Generosity Water will be
able to provide more than 4,000 people with clean
drinking water.
