Diamond Appiah

Diamond's ratings soar as her identifty controversy raves on
Diamond Appiah, known in showbiz circles as
Diamond has received quite a number of reviews in
the music arena recently, following what pundits
have described as her wild, top of the range and
extreme fashion that she employs in her music.

Perhaps, what has engineered this widely held
notion is the fact that, many people perceive that
her style is more exotic and have hence likened it
to Lady Gaga; a pop star in the US.

The many reviews these assertions and opinions
from the public, according to the hip-hop star
have helped her stayed on course in her resolve to
maintain what to her is her original style. “I
have always been this ‘wild’, I can trace this
to my childhood days when I usually adorned myself
with odd attire to the amusement of my friends.”
She continued, I grew with this attitude and I am
resolved to maintain this in my chosen career.”

Notably, her resolve to maintain her wild fashion
sense and exotic music style has obviously played
to her advantage judging from the number of
reviews she receives on daily basis. The diva is
out with a video for her second single,
‘Popping’ and the clip has enchanting effects
to wow and one can simply ask how.

The video employs a huge and vibrant sense of
artistic value coupled with great sounds to drum
home the message of the song. A music critique
observed that, “this is the best female artiste
video I have seen from a Ghanaian female
artiste…The makeup, costumes and everything is
on point! We are sick and tired of the same old
stuffs.” In obvious reference to some female
music videos that have flooded the system.

Diamond’s popping has been nominated in this
year’s Vodafone 4Syte’s Music Video and is set
to spring a huge surprise. Nominated in the Female
Video of the year, the video’s strong artistic
edge, great sounds, exotic but simple character
infusion are certain to pull the strings and
eventually win her the award in that category.

The Diva of all Divas believe that, her video has
the capability to compete anywhere in the world
and envisages that her nomination and onward win
in the category will help push the ranking of the
video even higher. Fans of Diamond who want to see
their star at the very top in category are
required to vote Diamond to short code 1738 on all
networks.
