KK Fosu to outdoor ‘Highlife Azonto’
A Ghanaian highlife musician Kwame Kaekyire Fosu,
popularly known in showbiz as KK Fosu, is set to
release a new single before the close of the year.


He told The Globe in an interview that the single,
titled ‘E Dey Be’ will be ready to take the
highlife scene by storm during the Christmas
season.

‘E Dey Be,’ he said, will be added to a
12-track-album, which is already selling hot on
the Ghanaian market and enjoying massive airplay
on local radio stations across the country.

KK Fosu told The Globe ‘E Dey Be’ will
“hopefully” be launched in a mega style at the
Silverbird Stores inside the Accra Mall on
December 2.

“The beat is ‘azonto style’ but purely
highlife,” he added.

Asked why he chose such a venue for the album
launch, he said: “I love to meet my fans in an
environment where they can be free and interact
with me. ”

The highlife star has four albums to his credit:
‘Suudwe, ‘Anadwo ye de, ‘Six O’clock’,
and the current one ‘Akonoba’. He said his
inspiration is from God as well as friends and
relations.

KK Fosu has been in the music industry for over
12years. He started doing music with the likes of
KG and PM. He later formed a group called Trinity,
which collapsed along the way. Trinity was made-up
of Kokoveli, Batman (now known as Samini) and KK
Fosu.

The highlife star told The Globe he plans to help
“the needy in the society. ”

“It is our responsibility as musicians to use
the God-given talent we have wisely and also the
opportunity to help the less privileged in the
society,” he said.

KK Fosu is billed to perform at this year’s
Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) together with
highlife gurus like George Darko, KK Kabobo, Nana
Acheampong, Pozo Hayes, Adane Best and many more.
